Italy has an extensive network of roads across the country, varying from country tracks to modern motorways (autostrada) swathing their way through the beautiful countryside.Tolls are charged for using the motorways, payable in cash or by a pre purchased card. Vehicles in Italy drive on the right and overtake on the left and the wearing of seatbelts is compulsory both in the front and back.
